She basically carried on with her day as if nothing happened after some of her stepbrothers either hugged, kissed or touched her despite the fact that she knew their feelings towards her. What confused me was the fact that Ema allowed any of her stepbrothers to kiss her and do anything they want with her despite her indicating that she only wanted to be “siblings” with her brothers. There’s not much bond formed between Ema and each of her stepbrother because the episodes continuously jump from one brother to another brother, although most of the brothers wanted a romantic relationship with her and fought over her while they hardly knew anything about her. Every episode basically revolves around the daily lives of Ema and the brothers and one question: who will end up with Ema?, which is the point of most reverse harem anime. For this anime’s story, I think it’s not creative and too simple.
She faced many challenges such as finding out that she’s adopted and having to apply for college. She has a pet squirrel Juli who’s very protective of her and he helps her when she’s having a tough time. However at the same time, Ema only wanted to have a loving family. As time went on, her stepbrothers started to have feelings for her and competed in various ways to win her heart. From there, she discovered that she has 13 stepbrothers as Miwa has sons. She decided to move into the Sunrise Residence complex owned by Miwa as she didn’t want to bother them. This anime’s summary goes like this: Hinata Ema (later known as Asahina Ema family name is placed in front of a Japanese person’s given name) found out that her father, Hinata Rintarō was going to remarry a woman named Asahina Miwa.
BROTHERS CONFLICT MANGA SUMMARY SERIES
The series also has been adapted into two otome games ( Brothers Conflict: Passion Pink and Brothers Conflict: Brilliant Blue) and a yonkama manga (4 panel comic) series.
This anime is adapted from a Japanese novel series created by Kanase Atsuko, written by Mizuno Takeshi and Kanase, and illustrated by Udajo. This anime’s genres are reverse harem (a genre where 3 or more handsome men are in love with a single girl), comedy-drama and romance. It’s not one of the best anime I’ve watched, but it’s not that bad and it’s still worth watching. I must admit that Brothers Conflict was my first reverse harem anime and also the first anime which introduced me to the anime and seiyuu (Japanese word for voice actor) fandom.
